I illustrated and designed some Biology educational posters for the Masungi Georeserve and their communities. These feature flora and fauna found in the park. Most of the species found in the area are endemic to the Philippines, and I learned so much while researching for this project.
The project aims to educate the communities and indigenous groups around the georeserve about their environment, and how human actions affect the ecosystem, and how they can help protect and preserve their surroundings. This is in line with the park's efforts towards conservation education and geotourism.
Other posters in the series were by Angela Taguiang who made posters about Culture, and Robbie Bautista who made posters about Geology. Alongside the posters, Tippy Pelayo-Go also made a picture book featuring life and the environment of the Masungi communities.
actual size of posters is A3
This project was initiated, conceptualized, and art directed by Ann Dumaliang of the Masungi Georeserve, in partnership with Nat Geo Explore and Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan.
